If you walk through the computer science labs, chances are you will see Sam Meek sitting in front of a computer working on one of his projects.

Meek is working on creating a game for a competition and he has several personal projects.

Meek said his greatest weakness is personal motivation and commitment to his own personal goals. He said it can be a severe problem sometimes; he has several projects that he has started but never finished.

Meek is a sophomore computer science major from Waynoka. When he graduates, he said he would like to start his own game design studio.

He enjoys M&M Sonic Blasts and he is a huge advocate of ordering Pizza Hut pizza online.

Meek is generally a “quiet dude,” but becomes almost passionate when describing how the “Hut Rewards” system works. Every dollar you spend gives you two reward points. When you acquire enough points, you can get a free pizza.

When he is not promoting the rewards program, Meek is usually gaming.

He tends to game on the PC.

Meek even built his first PC when he was a sophomore in high school. His current system is a more recent build.

Some of Meek’s favorite PC games are Portal 2, Starcraft 2 and Earth Defense Force 4.1. He recently got into playing League of Legends. Meek also plays Dungeons & Dragons. He has been a part of several campaigns and said it can become a pretty funny game.

Meek said his favorite D&D memory is when he barely escaped a dangerous dungeon as it exploded. The blast left his character three points away from dying permanently.
