The power of oneself

By MONTANA McCULLOUGH, Student Writer

I hate when people say that nobody is perfect, but you have to also remember that nobody is completely flawed either.

Everybody on Earth has some sort of flaw that they aren’t happy with. But the good thing about knowing your flaws it that you can try and fix them. I hate when people are judged on what they did in the past.

I am the type of person who doesn’t judge people based on their past. I see the good in people and know they are more than what has happened to them. People judge others too much on things they have heard and not actually getting to know the people they are judging.

No matter how many people say you can’t do something because of your past, look them in the face and say oh yes I can. People thought I would never go to college, but I’m now a junior and doing well. You have to believe in yourself before anyone else will believe in you.

There are people in your life who will always believe in you but you have to believe in yourself before others can see it. I believe that if you believe in yourself that you will feel better about yourself and work harder. All you have to do is tell yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to.

The only person in this world that you need to impress is yourself. All it takes is for you to truly think that you can do the things that people say you can’t. I drives me insane when people tear down people’s dreams.

People don’t know what others are capable of doing. People’s’ past are what push them to do better than what they had. The only thing that should drag people from their dreams are their own minds.

If you get anything out of this article, let it be to be nice to others. And never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.
