The J.R. Holder Wellness Center is offering a new yoga class this semester.

Connie Bryant, a junior education major at Northwestern, has been studying the practice of yoga for about two years now. She has offered her time to instruct on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. Different from the yoga classes previously offered, Bryant brings her own unique style to the class, and no two classes are the same.

One week, Bryant focused on teaching the different Warrior poses, and the next week, the class was about learning how to strengthen the back muscles for more flexibility.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the class is learning that with consistency comes results. The students find themselves becoming more flexible, and the poses that were hard to master at the start of the class are now easier to form.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and no experience is necessary. Bryant is accustomed to providing modifications for those who are new to the art form. If you are looking for a different yoga experience, this class is a great opportunity for beginners or pros.
