No academic paper is complete without the use of credible sources; students look no further than Northwestern’s online database for the perfect sources on a paper.
All Northwestern students have access to the library’s online database, which consists of multiple reputable databases containing scholarly papers, articles, and studies all that can be used and cited towards a paper.
Accessing the database is as easy as going to Northwesterns website, clicking on the library link, and then clicking on the database link. Once in the database, use the search engine to look up a wide variety of topics. Using the academic databases to find sources that support a paper is going above and beyond what most professors expect. Not only does using a database for information give better support to a paper, but also it adds credibility to a paper.
Trenton Early, a junior health and sports science major said “I usually use EBSCOhost for my papers, its quick and easy. Helps a lot when I need a good source.” For some reason the online databases seem to always be forgotten by students, but when used correctly it can reinforce an any papers ideas through the use of already credited scholarly articles and data.
