Prom night is a night most people never forget. But it’s also a very expensive night. According to USA Today, teens spend an average of $600 on prom each year. Not everyone gets to enjoy their night on the town but NWOSU’s Department of Social and Woodward High School’s Key Club are making sure that doesn’t happen.
“Primp for Prom” is an annual event seeking donations of formal dresses, jewelry and shoes for local high schoolers. Students will be to choose from a variety of formal dresses and other accessories in an array of sizes, styles, and colors for free. A fitting room will also be available.
“Primp for Prom” will be open Thursday, March 8, from 1 to 7 p.m., and Friday, March 9 from 9 to noon, at the Woodward High School practice gym, located at 13th Street and Downs Ave in Woodward.
