Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be hosting its annual Presidential Lecture Series. On March 13, this program will be held in the Ranger Room inside the Student Center on the Alva campus.
The focus of this lecture will be Andrew Jackson, who has been known as Old Hickory and for claiming to serve as the People’s President from 1829 1837.
A luncheon will also be taking place, and will be at 11 a.m. The general public is then invited to come at noon and participate in the observation of the formal program.
And while the luncheon is invitation only, the annual lecture is not only open to the public, but also free and followed by light refreshments.
The guest speaker of this program will be Howard Kittell. Kittell is president and
CEO of the Andrew Jackson Foundation in Nashville, Tennessee.
He will speak of the life of the seventh president as well as any career opportunities in public history.
