The Northwest Oklahoma Alliance is excited to announce the upcoming Teeny Tiny Town Summit, scheduled for Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will take place at the Woodward Conference Center and will feature the Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell as the keynote speaker.
Joining him will be a lineup of speakers representing small towns across Northwest Oklahoma. Together, they will share insights on crucial topics such as rural healthcare, community empowerment and the workforce in small towns. In its third edition, the event has a track record of catalyzing positive change and fostering a place for small towns to rally behind each other.
The Teeny Tiny Town Summit will host more than 10 speakers who will discuss solutions to Northwest Oklahoma’s challenges in three panels. The agenda also includes the keynote breaks to provide participants with opportunities to share their positive experiences. Town administrators, community leaders, business owners, government officials, healthcare professionals, and residents are all encouragd to attend. The registration fee is $50, which will include lunch.
The small towns of Northwestern Oklahoma are part of the following 16 counties: Cimarron, Texas, Beaver, Harper, Woods, Alfalfa, Grant, Kay, Ellis, Woodward, Major, Garfield, Noble, Dewey, Blaine and Kingfisher.
The Summit’s goal is to bolster the region’s economy by empowering individuals to become pillars of support and progress in their beloved hometowns.
The region is also known by its Oklahoma Department of Tourism designation “Red Carpet Country,” which is named after the region’s red soil and refers to the metaphor that the Panhandle is a welcoming “red carpet” into Oklahoma.
The Northwest Oklahoma Alliance hosts the Teeny Tiny Town Summit to educate and inform people throughout the region in order to find solutions to Northwest Oklahoma’s challenges and to help small towns thrive.
