SGA will host their annual Grocery Bingo on Monday in the Student Center Ballroom.
Students who plan to attend this event are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes as it is the day before Halloween. There is also going to be multiple rounds of Bingo played.
The way that Grocery Bingo SGA plays is that there are five points given when you get a Bingo and you can choose to use those five points on a bigger ticket item or decide to get smaller items that are worth one to four points.
Several prizes that range from toiletries to snacks will be available for students to win. Some other prizes include microwavable food such as Ramen and a few extra prizes as well.
Grocery Bingo is one of the many events that SGA host throughout the year and is one of their most popular events as well.
Students in the past liked to attend this free event for the chance to win groceries. As it is, no secret that college students are often broke and could always use some groceries.
Other events that SGA has hosted throughout the semester include howdy week and homecoming week activities. These included block parties, sporting events and even a free movie night at Rialto.
SGA will also be hosting this semester an open mic night on Nov. 14 from 7 p.m.to 9 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.
SGA also holds meetings every other Monday int the Senate Chambers or Student Center Ballroom depending on amount of students that attend and if there is anyting in the Ballroom or not.
Their next meeting will be Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. and students are encouraged to come check it out and see what SGA and other clubs do on campus and if they would like to join one.
If you are interested in joining SGA or starting your own club on campus you can contact the SGA advisor Olivia Yandel or any of the current SGA officers.
The officers are treasurer Aaron Mason, secretary Madelyn Long, vice president Tyler Blakenship and president Austin Rankin.
One of SGA’s goal is for student’s to have fun and be involved with activities on campus and they also appreciate feedback on events they hold.
So if you attend Grocery Bingo, open mic night or any other SGA event be sure to tell an officer what you thought of it and some ideas to make it even better.
