“Mean Girls” is a classic 2000’s rom-com, nearing its 20th anniversary.

In honor of the 20th anniversary Tina Fey who wrote the screen play for “Mean Girls” wrote a screen play adaption of the Broadway Musical.

I like many was excited to see it for this very reason. However, I was a little disappointed in the film.

Though the film definitely had some good things about it like brining back some of the orginial actors to replay their original roles and having Lindsey Lohan, who played Cady Heron in the 2004 film, make a cameo toward the end of the movie.

It definitely had some negatives as well. One of these negatives was the recreation of the songs from the Broadway Musical.

Many musical fans were disappointed in this because they felt like it lacked the passion you often get from actors on Broadway. Even though Renee Rapp who plays Regina George also played the tole in the Broadway show.

Overall, I am glad I watched the movie but I wish i would of waited until it was available to stream.
