Jessica Schieber

My name is Jessica Schieber, and I am one of the two co editor-in-chiefs.
I am from Okeene, Oklahoma. I have a pit bull named Meg whom I adore, and a rabbit named Otto. I have three sisters, two older and one younger, who I trust with anything.
Because of my dad I grew a love toward sports of all kinds. I am a big Kansas City Chiefs fan, a Thunder fan and a New Jersey Devils hockey fan.

I also enjoy reading a lot. I love to write and have the capability to express myself with the words that I put on a page.

I am currently a junior with a major in English and a minor in media and communications.
After graduation I want to be an author. However, I would probably need to find another job before all of that so I thought that journalism would be similar enough and chose my minor based on that. I joined the News to get more experience in a more journalistic style of writing.

Throughout my time on the paper, I have learned about page layout, news story writing and how to work with others to make something that goes together while having individuality. It is amazing what having so many different personalities can make.

One of the things I pride myself on is my ability to adapt and make quick adjustments when it is needed.
When it comes to news you never know what is going to happen, so being able to adjust quickly helps everyone out.
