Hey! I’m Sarah, the co-editor -in-chief of the newspaper. Although I am an accounting major, this job is one of my favorite creative outlets. I love writing, design, and getting to meet all your new faces throughout the year.
I am originally from northwest Oklahoma, having grown up in Enid and Fairview. However, I completed my high school years in Beaver, panhandle strong! Being back in the northwest Oklahoma area has made my heart happy. It feels good to be home, especially at such an amazing campus.
Besides writing for the newspaper, I am involved in Chi Alpha, a new church group on campus, and the Delta Zeta sorority. I also have a part-time job working for a bank, a super adorable puppy named Sadie and a photography business. I am never bored.
This year, I really want to start networking and meeting new people. The last few years I have been a home body and don’t get out much, but I feel as though it is time to change that. I want to make new friends and expand my circle.
Outside of school activities, I enjoy all types of music but primarily oldies. Billy Joel is one of my favorites. I also love to read any type of self-help or romance book. Some say I am also a health nut, as I love to meal prep, track my numbers, and workout any chance that I get.
I wanted to personally welcome everyone to Northwestern. Don’t be afraid to say yes and become involved! You’ll make memories of a lifetime.
