The Wesley House will hold a pumpkin patch fundraiser during the entire month of October.
The second annual Wesley House pumpkin patch will start Friday when the pumpkins arrive. With help from volunteers, such as the Northwestern baseball team, the pumpkins will be unloaded and sorted into their respective categories.
The pumpkins come from the Navajo Indian Reservation in Farmington, N.M.
“They range in all shapes, sizes and even color, which makes the patch one of the most unique gatherings of pumpkins around,” said Wesley House director Deb Corr.
Each day throughout the month, the patch will open at 10 a.m. and run until dark. It will be located in the southeastern corner of the VAP/Farmers Insurance parking lot, 2105 College Blvd.
All proceeds will be given to the Wesley House as well as the Indian reservation in New Mexico.
