The 30th annual 5K Ranger Run and One Mile Fun Run will take place on Oct. 10 as part of Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s annual homecoming celebration. The races will start promptly at 8 a.m. in front of the Rialto Theatre.

Registration fees are $15 for the Ranger Run and $10 for the Fun Run if the participants sign up by Oct. 5. Registration will be open the day of the races at 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. for an additional $5.

All participants will receive an official homecoming t-shirt.

The Ranger Run is divided into seven different age categories (12 or under through 60+ years) while the Fun Run has two age categories (12 or under and 13+).

Many prizes will be awarded to winners in the Ranger Run, including medals and gift certificates to the J.R. Holder Wellness Center going to the top three finishers in each division; trophies, Alva Chamber bucks, and certificates to the first overall male and female runners; and Alva Chamber bucks to the first alumni male and female runners. Awards also will be given to the top three in both divisions of the Fun Run.
