The Rangers soccer team loss to Lubbock Christian 4-0, Saturday on the road.

Northwestern soccer entered the match up coming off back-to-back 3-0 losses to rival Southwestern and conference foe East Central at home.

According to Lcuchaps.com, the Lady Chaps struck early in the 16 minute mark with their first goal and then pushed their lead to 2-0 with just under two minutes remaining in the first half.

The Rangers struggles continued into the second half as well when the Lady Chaps put two more goals past Ranger goalkeeper Briana Legaspi.

When the final whistle sounded, the Rangers only totaled four shots during the 90 minutes, while LCU totaled a massive 27. For the Rangers, of the four total shots only one was on goal. LCU recorded 14 on goal out of their 27.

The lone shot on goal for Northwestern came from senior Arlet Polack.

Legaspi finished with seven saves for the Rangers and teammate Kylee Wallace finished with two saves.

The 4-0 loss for the Rangers is their eighth straight shutout loss, which drops them to a 2-11-1 overall record and 0-8 in GAC play seating them in last place.

The Rangers go back on the road tonight as they face conference foe Harding at 7 p.m. in Searcy, Ark.

The match up with the Bison will be the second time these two teams faced each other. In their first battle, it was the Bison that took the contest 2-0 in Alva.

Then on Saturday, the Rangers head to Arkadelphia, Ark. to face Ouachita Baptist at 9 a.m. for their final road game of the season.

The Rangers also faced Ouachita earlier this season in which they fell 4-0 at home.

Northwestern is looking to avenge their previous losses and finally end their losing streak.
