Alias Brass Company presented its “Prism” program Tuesday night in Herod Hall. The group played 14 numbers that included classical pieces such as a piano quintet by Johannes Brahms and then more recent works such a “Maria” and “I Feel Pretty” by Leonard Bernstein from the musical “West Side Story.” The group above included, from left, Jonathan Bhatia on trumpet, his wife Natalie Brooke Higgins on horn, Clayton Maddox on tuba, Dunwoody Mirvil on trombone and Adam Bhatia on trumpet. At left, Higgins plays a solo. At right, Maddox explains that he will be playing the tuba in the oboe role of the song “Gabriel’s Oboe” by Ennio Morricone, which was arranged by Jonathan Bhatia. Adam Bhatia, the brother of Jonathan, does not normally play with the group but was filling in for a sick member Tuesday.
