Northwestern Oklahoma State University baseball played a total of six Great American Conference games during spring break.

On March 15, NWOSU faced the Henderson State Reddies at home and earned 13 hits the first game which earned their first win for the series over the Reddies.

This win improved the Rangers record to 12-9 overall and 4-8 in the Great American Conference.

The next day the Rangers faced Henderson State for the final two games of the series against the Reddies.

The afternoon took a turn when the Rangers dropped both conference games. Henderson State scored five runs in the final four innings of the first game and earned a 10-7 win.

In the second and final game of the day, Northwestern took a 10-6 lead into the top of the seventh inning but unfortunately, the Reddies scored four runs which sent the game into extra innings.

Henderson put up three runs in the top of the ninth inning, which sealed their victory and took game two of the doubleheader in extra innings.

The final score of the day was 13-10.

The two-game loss dropped Northwestern’s record this season to 12-11 overall and 4-10 in conference.

On March 22, Northwestern Baseball picked up two wins during the doubleheader in Arkadelphia, Arkansas where they faced the Ouachita Baptist Tigers.

During the first game, Northwestern held off a late push by the Tigers, but still won the game 9-8.

Shortly after the first game the Rangers took game two with ease downing the Tigers 8-2. Carlos Andujar reached base in each of the five times he went to the plate in game one and earned four hits, including a home run, and a walk.

Bryce Donovan put up a huge three-run home run and a triple.

The next day the Rangers faced the Tigers for their final game of the series and Northwestern completed a sweep of Ouachita Baptist when good pitching resulted in a 4-1 victory in Arkadelphia.

Matt Goertzen and Dillon Van Oosbree held the Tigers to just a single run of six hits.

The Rangers moved up to 17-11 overall and 7-10 in the conference.

Northwestern is 9-3 on the road. The Rangers have a non-conference match-up against Fort Hayes State on March 27.
