“Bridgerton” is a Netflix series that first came out at the end of December 2020.

The series follows the Bridgerton siblings and their love stories. Netflix created the show off of the Bridgerton family book series by author Julia Quinn, who released the stories from 2000 to 2006.

There are eight books for the eight children: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth.

The Netflix series follows the order of the books, and the first to find love is Daphne.

Her book is called “The Duke and I” and is the first season in the Netflix series.

The second season of “Bridgerton” on Netflix follows Anthony, which is in the same order as the book series.

Season three of “Bridgerton” will premiere in March.

According to the books, Benedict was to be next, but Netflix is jumping to Colin.

If you have seen the series or are going to, the reason they are no longer following the order of the books is because Jess Brownell, who stepped in as the new show-runner, shared online that it was Colin and Penelope’s time.

Penelope is best friends with “Bridgerton” sibling Eloise.

She’s been friends with Colin as well, but he has always taken her for granted and seen her as Eloise’s friend.

When watching these two characters throughout the season, there is already a story building between them, and if followed correctly with having it be Benedict next, I think they will create a whole new character like they did with Anthony’s story.

I think it was best to go with Colin and Penelope to possibly plant a person in there for viewers who want to see something new for Benedict’s story.

The “Bridgerton” family love stories are set in the competitive world of Regency era in London during the social season where marriageable youth of nobility and gentry are launched into society.

There is also a secret writer who goes by Lady Whistledown who guides the who’s, the what’s and the how’s of the British aristocracy and, of course, the scandals.

The show also has a multiracial cast, all because the King fell in love with a Black girl.

We soon get to follow that story called “Queen Charlotte: A ‘Bridgerton’ Story,” which comes out May 4.

If you love 19th century love stories and society gossip with more twists and scandals for the time, you have to watch “Bridgerton” and the soon-to-come-out spin-off show “Queen Charlotte.”
