Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s students, as well as the general public, have the opportunity to visit Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and Provence May 18-29 through the university’s study abroad program.
Dr. Wayne McMillin, dean of the Enid campus, said there is still a chance to sign up, although, the deadline is quickly approaching. Anyone interested in visiting Europe this summer through Northwestern has until Feb. 11 to enroll for the trip online at www.nwosu.edu/study-abroad-program. Students interested in earning three hours of humanities credit will need to contact McMillin to enroll in the class.
McMillin is working with EF College Study Tours to make sure those going will have the best experience possible and already has a very busy schedule set in place. The trip will begin in Paris where the group will visit major historical sights. They will then travel by train to Provence to see Avignon and study the culture of the French countryside. In Barcelona, McMillin plans to make a stop at the Salvador Dali Museum, and the last stop before returning home is Madrid.
“Many times we get a student and members of their family who want to travel together,” McMillin said. “It’s a fun and very well-organized trip, and we will see a lot of France and Paris on our journeys.”
