The editorial to the left of me is very well written and relatable.
Jordan has exceeded all of our expectations at the Northwestern News and I am so happy he is a part of our team.
I have ranted and raved a couple times about the mass communicatoins department here at NWOSU, but I just want to talk about it more.
Because, seriously, it’s amazing. Very rarely are you going to find such a close-nit group of students who support eachother and get along like us.
When I was a Senior in highschool, I took pictures at all events, including sports, and I also wrote stories for, and edited, the small newsletter that my small school sent out.
I had a lot of fun doing that and I was one of those rare cases where I knew exactly what I was going to do and where I was going to go.
Never in my life have I been “un-decided” about anything really. I like to have purpose, not deciding on something gives me anxiety.
I am so thankful that I came to mass comm. I have made amazing friends through it, one of which is my best friend and roomate. Mostly, I love how this newspaper has grown since I began here as a freshman.
When I first became an editor as a sophomore, this paper saw some bad times. Bad front pages, severeal style errors, and don’t get me started on the lack of material that we had to even put in the paper.
It was hurrendous. But I have worked hard to make it great, and I have found great helpers and friends along the way. I am most confident that I haved paved a good road for the editors after me, like Jordan. I am proud of myself, proud of my team, proud of the mass communications department and I am proud of Northwestern.
