Northwestern football falls on the road to East Central 42-30 as focus turns now to homecoming on Saturday.

The Ranger’s road trip to Ada, Okla. Saturday did not go as planned for the red-and-black.

According to riderangersride.com, Northwestern was able to total huge offensive yards, but seen interceptions from Reid Miller proved to be a huge game changer.

The real dagger for the Rangers,however, took place with just over nine minutes left when East Central connected for an 80 yard touchdown pass which furthered their lead from five to 12 and sealed a 42-30 win.

The Rangers focus now turns to homecoming on Saturday.

The Rangers enter homecoming this week riding a four game losing streak that they wish to snap as they face sixth ranked GAC foe Southeastern Okla. State University.

A year ago when these two teams faced off, it was the Savage Storm who bested the red-and-black as they took the contest 45-7 .Players to watch on offense for the Rangers are junior quarterback Reid Miller, running back Zachary Doyle and running back Charles Davis Jr..

Miller has completed 132 of his 231 pass attempts this season as well as totaling 12 touchdowns and 1366 yards passing. Miller has also thrown 14 interceptions.

On defense for the Rangers, a few notables are redshirt sophomore Devin Peyton, junior defensive end Joby St. Fleur and defensive back Erick Cook.

The Rangers look to defend their turf Saturday at 3 p.m.
