The Northwestern men’s golf teams finish with a 610 and 642 while the women shoot 729 to round out the Northwestern Invitational in Enid on Sunday and Monday.

On day one of the invitational, the first of two Ranger men’s teams finished the day in second as they shot a combined score of 301. The second men’s team finished in fifth after day one with a combined score of 324.

Rangers Tyler Miller and Brennan Montgomery led the team as they each fired 74’s on day one.

On day two of competition, the first men’s team finished with a combined score of 309 while the second team shot a 318.

Ranger Miller led both men’s teams again as he turned in a round of 74 for the second day in a row. The second round 74 gave him a total of 148 to end the tournament.

On the women’s side, day one ended with the team shooting a 362 which slotted them in fourth.

Leading the Ranger women on day one was Ami Adkinsson and Olivia Brock. Adkinsson turned in a round of 87 and Brock was one stroke off as she turned in an 88.

Day two, the women were unable to better their day one score but they still managed to shoot a combined score of 367.

Brock would lead the team on day two as she bested her first round score by one stroke to finish with an 87, which gave her a two day total of 175 placing her in a tie for 11 as an individual.

Other notable  individual finishes for  the Rangers was on the men’s team, that of William Ward. Ward shot a 76 in round one and a 79 in round two which gave him a two day total of 155 placing him in 10 as an individual.

The women’s team would finish the invitational in fourth. The men’s teams remained in their same positions as day one, finishing in second and fifth respectively.

Taking the tournament win on the men’s side was conference foe Southern Arkansas who shot 291 on day one and 292 on day two for a combined score of 583.

For the women, it was Southern Arkansas as well who took the tournament win as they shot 343 on day one and 336 on day two for a combined score of 679.

Both Northwestern golf teams will be back in action next in the spring.
