A some fear this means that Donald Trump is now showing that his true agenda is taking down and changing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which is part of his making America great again plan.

Most of his moves have been buried in a memo from the general service administration. This disturbing shift goes from protecting long-held values and creates a nightmare where diversity, equality and inclusion are now in jeopardy. It has really been the hallmark of the Trump administration agenda to remove the protection for those who need this protection most.
Trump’s administration has been persistent in making changes, with a goal of reducing bureaucracy barriers. It’s only raising eyebrows for the long-term impact on multicultural communities.

With this decision comes a true cost. It’s not just about removing a policy. It’s about changing the reality of the world.
Taking away reassurance of protection means there won’t be protection in the workplace. Equality is only one area of concern for those who have specific qualifications. Trump‘s administration only wants to prioritize efficiency over equality, which is only repeating history like we saw before.

At one time in our history, segregation was not only tolerated, but legally upheld by the federal courts. Today, removing the requirement federal contractors had to not segregate facilities is a slap in the face of people who that requirement protected. Minorities, particularly people of color and women, are right to live in fear that hostile discrimination will only get worse in the workplace after this change. We should not take this lightly.

This is a significant policy that has been tragically reversed, and it only dishonors those who fought and died to lay the foundation of fairness in our society. Making this change isn’t leading. the world to the better; it is only going to bring out the worst.
