In last week’s Northwestern News’ article, “Campus Safety is Top Priority” an error was made involving a misstatement of Joel Johnson’s credentials, in which it was stated that he was “a certified instructor for CRASE as well as ALERRT.” “I want to have it on the record that at no time did I state that I am an ALERRT Instructor,” Johnson said.
The correction to this statement published in our newspaper, is that Johnson had successfully completed ALERRT as a practitioner, as well as the CRASE Train-the-Trainer course. “That CRASE Train-the-Trainer course certifies me to teach CRASE…but not ALERRT.” Johnson said. He also said that overall, he found the article to be both informative and entertaining.
