The Lady Rangers lost a tough game Thursday night as they played Southern Nazerne University. The Crimsom Storm won the game, 80-41 over the Lady Rangers.

The Red-and-Black had two double-digit scorers, first was Kalea King who dropped 16 points in the game followed by Bailey Brown who had 10 of her own points. King led the team in rebounding with six rebounds followed by Brown with four.

Brown tried to keep the Lady Rangers afloat in the first quarter, but SNU went on a 10-0 run. By halftime the lady Rangers were trailing by 21 points. The score going into the half was 44-32.

The second half started the same as the first with SNU going on an 11-0 run in the early mintues of the third quarter.

Even though the Lady Rangers lost the game Brown made some history of her own late in the third quarter. Brown’s layup with 50 seconds left in the quarter was her 1,000 point here at Northwestern. She joins 12 other members in this such club.

After another quarter run by the Crimson Storm they won the game 80-41.

This loss drops the Lady Rangers to a 10-11 record on the season an 6-9 in the Great American Conference play.

The Lady Rangers will play East Central University Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. as the Lady Rangers look to snap the two-game losing streak.
