After a tough loss on Thursday, the Lady Rangers looked to bounce back as the played Southeastern on Saturday. Unfortunately after a back-and-forth battle, the Lady Rangers loss 67-61.
The Lady Rangers had three players finish with double-digit scoring figures. Kalea Kind led the Lady Rangers with 15 points, while Hilary Hurst scored 14 points. Bailey Brown was the last Lady Ranger to have a double digit score with 12 of her own.
Brown scored the first basket of the game after she won the tip-off. Throughout the first quarter both teams battled it out for the lead. The Lady Rangers were behind by three points going into the second quarter.
The second quarter was not in the Lady Rangers favor as they only scored seven points. The Savage Storm went on a 10-0 run at the end of the half.
The Savage Storm controlled the beginning of the second half after going up 21 points, but the Lady Rangers pulled the score within three in the fourth quarter. After a big comeback the Lady Rangers still fell short of winning as the lost by five points.
The Lady Rangers are now 11-13 on the season, and 7-11 in the Great American Conference.
The Lady Rangers will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to Arkadelphia to take on Ouachita Baptist University. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
