The Rangers traveled to the Tiger field in Ada, Okla. Saturday to face East Central for their second conference match.

Northwestern came into the match after a 2-1 win against Newman at home on Thursday.

The Tigers struck early in the first half with two goals. The first was at the 7:43 mark with the other coming at the 10:42 mark.

East Central pushed their lead to three over the Rangers at the 61:52 mark of the second half with another goal.

Northwestern had an unfortunate offensive day as they only managed nine total shots with three on goal.

East Central dominated the Rangers goal as they totaled 26 shots with 15 of them being on the mark.

Ranger goalie Briana Legaspi had another stellar day at the helm as she recorded 12 saves, making that now 71 saves on the season.

Ranger Kelsey Leveling led Northwestern’s offense with two shots and one on goal.

Two Rangers recorded yellow cards as will during the game. Ranger Eliany Parra received one at the 27:20 mark and Clarrisa Hinojo received one at the 68:16 mark.

Northwestern (2-4-1, 0-2 GAC) looks to rebound tonight as they face number four ranked Ouachita Baptist starting at 6 p.m. at the Alva Rec Complex.
