Classes were canceled at Northwestern on Monday and Tuesday after snow and ice covered the region, and Northwestern students spent their time sledding and enjoying the wintry weather. The snow came just days before Halloween, covering some fall decorations and coating the leaves of green trees. Though the university canceled fall break because of the coronavirus pandemic, students said they enjoyed an early, but informal, winter break.
