THE TURBO RANGER- Joshua Christopher
In the face of a 0-5 record, the Rangers football team confronts a season marked by change – new players, new coaches, and week-to-week challenges. Despite consecutive losses, the Rangers maintain an unwavering optimism, choosing to look forward rather than dwell on the past.
While scores and stats may paint a discouraging picture, football is a metaphor for life, teaching resilience in the face of adversity.
Quitting would be the easy way out, but the Rangers are driven by their aspirations and goals in order to push through the on field hardships.
Coach Ronnie Jones emphasizes that, “turning around a program doesn’t happen overnight and it’s going to take everyone on this staff including the players to buy in.”
As a player on this team in the midst of adversity first hand, we must find the hidden gems. Wins and losses are part of the game, but the response to the losses defines a team’s character.
We recognize that success hinges on a united front encompassing the mental and physical aspects of the game. Each week calls for a higher standard, a determined work ethic, and a shared objective throughout the season.
Discipline, resiliency, accountability, a winning mindset and camaraderie are the cornerstones of progress on and off the field.
With six pivotal weeks ahead, the Rangers stand poised to transcend their record, proving the haters wrong but more so proving themselves right.
This Saturday at 4 p.m., the Rangers are geared up for a homecoming showdown against Harding University, aiming to clinch the first win of the season.
