The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Lady Ranger soccer team suffered an 8-1 loss at the hands of Newman University. Sophomore Yazmin Gomez scored the single goal early in the game, but the Lady Rangers were unable to net any other shots.

Newman dominated the Lady Rangers offensively. Newman had a total of 31 one shots against the Lady Rangers. 18 of those 31 shots were shots on goal. The Lady Rangers had seven shots
overall.
After Newman took the lead 2-0, the Lady Rangers had a few good looks to goal. The Lady Rangers had good ball movement. Junior Calvonis Prentice played a ball up the line for junior Karla Lopez to receive. Lopez then severed the ball to Gomez, who made the tough angle shot. The Lady Rangers had a few
looks to score more goals. Junior Karla Lopez was fouled just inside the eighteen, and had the opportunity for a free kick.

The Lady Rangers also had several corner kicks taken, but were unable to convert them into goals. The Lady Rangers were down 5-1 at halftime. Newman entered the second half as they had the first
half, and were able to score three more goals before the game ended. The Lady Rangers are now 0-5 overall for the season.
