Oaklee Fielder

My name is Oaklee Fielder. I was born and raised in Enid. I have lived there my whole life, and just about everything important to me is from Enid.

I am the oldest of five kids. I enjoy being a big brother to them all, and I hope to be present in their lives as much as possible.

I don’t have many on-campus friends; my main friend group consists of the friends I had in high school. We were all friends before high school, and hope to continue being friends far after.
I went to Enid High School and participated in the band and choir. Here at NWOSU, I have continued singing, and I am in all the choirs we have on campus.

I started working for the Northwestern News last year in October. I started as the sports editor and that’s where I’ve been ever since. I expect to stay here the whole school year as the sports editor, and I am excited to see what I can learn and the experience I can earn.

I am enjoying my time here at the Northwestern News, and I think it is a fun job. You’ll leave with much more knowledge than you started with.

I am a big fan of sports all around. I watch football, basketball, baseball, hockey and motorsports. Although I enjoy almost every sport, my favorite form of sports is motorsports. I enjoy most every kind of it. I actively watch all three tiers of NASCAR, and I watch F1.

I am not as active in GT racing, endurance racing and everything in between, but if they are on while I have nothing else to do, I will watch.

I am also a fan of hockey. My favorite team is the Philadelphia Flyers. Although I have not attended a hockey game, I hope to go to one soon.
