Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Fine Arts will present “Cinderella Waltz” on Oct. 1 & 2, at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. in the Herod Hall Auditorium on the Alva campus.
“Cinderella Waltz,” written by Don Nigro and directed by Tracy Meza, is the perfect way to kick-start the month of October with its theme of a not-so-typical Cinderella story based off the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales. The comedic play is for more mature fairytale audiences and has a rating of PG-13.
“Cinderella Waltz is promised to impress with its amazing cast and impressive set design along with many special effects blended throughout,” said Tracy Meza, a senior at Northwestern and Director of Cinderella Waltz.
The Cinderella Waltz cast includes nine members: Rosey Snow will be played by Natalie Sacket, of Fairview, a Northwestern senior who is majoring in English. Zed will be played by Trenton Judd, of Sapulpa, a Northwestern senior who is majoring in speech theatre. Mrs. Snow will be played by Alica Hall, of Alva, a graduate student studying American Studies. Goneril will be played by Hayden Nickel, of Helena, a junior at Northwestern who is majoring in speech theatre. Regan will be played by Karlie Klager, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, a sophomore at Northwestern who is majoring in nursing. Mother Magee will be played by Taylor Morris, Pacoima, California, a junior at Northwestern who is majoring in mass communication. Troll will be played by Mickey Jordan, of Iowa Park, Texas, a junior at Northwestern who is majoring in speech theatre. Prince Alfred will be played by Nathan Sacket, of Fairview a senior at Northwestern who is majoring in computer science. Mr. Snow will be played by Charlie Wiley, of Ponca City, a senior at Northwestern who is majoring in English education.
The Cinderella Waltz crew includes: Director Tracy Meza, of St. Cloud, Florida, a senior at Northwestern who is majoring in speech theatre; stage manager, Tali McDonald of Alva, Northwestern alumnus who majored in speech theatre; assistant stage manager, Tori Hurley, of Sheffield, Iowa, a sophomore at Northwestern who is majoring in speech theatre; and special effects operator, Nick Wygle of Noble, a freshman at Northwestern who is majoring in biology.
