If you are like me, you have bittersweet hate for those two-sentence horror stories that circle Facebook all the time.? Now you can hate them, even more, they made them into a series.
The show originally debuted in August on Thursdays at 8 pm on CW channel the just released it onto Netflix. They have created 20 to 30-minute videos for each sentence. The series only has eight episodes with self-contained plots and characters so you can watch them out of order.
I personally love self-contained plots. As I was watching this series a friend came over and was able to hop right in without me having to explain what happened in previous episodes.
“Two sentence Horror Stories has a sort of ominous, sci-fi feel to them. The series is TV 14 which means “parents strongly cautioned may be in suitable for children age 14 and under“
The cast was very diverse and their acting kept viewers attention as the story flowed along. Along with its diverse cast the series also showcased some disabilities.
Every episode starts with the first of the two sentences. So you plan in your head what you think it will be about its not till then end that you get the second sentence to tie it together.
They set up every scene so you can get all the information needed in the 30 minutes they provide. I don’t feel like I have missed any information that the storyline have given.
Some of the episodes and scenes are not for the faint of heart. If gore bothers you I would stray away from this series. If torture bothers you I suggest to might want to skip some scenes.
I love that it’s a realistic horror series. It’s psychological and it doesn’t involve like ghosts and stuff. Just creepy real-life situations that could actually happen with a little bit of Gore.
I gave the series four out of five stars.
