Violinist Jasper Wood and pianist David Riley will perform in Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Herod Hall Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Feb. 6 as the last concert this season in the Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.nwocs.ludus.com or from Holder Drug or Graceful Arts Center for $20 for general admission, $15 for senior admission or $5 for students.

Wood from Canada has established a flourishing reputation as a soloist through his frequent performances with many of North America’s finest orchestras and as a recitalist and chamber musician. And, the New York Concert Review raved about Riley’s “absolutely exquisite technique.”

Their CD “Stradivarius Christmas” was acclaimed by audiences and critics upon its release in 2012. The duo has half a dozen CDs covering major works by Stravinsky, Bartók, Ives and others.

In 2004, they garnered a Best Classical Recording award from East Coast Music.

In 2010, they toured the Midwestern United States, playing 17 concerts in 19 days, logging in more than 4,000 miles on the road.

The 2016-2017 season marked the 25th anniversary of their collaboration.

The reserved seating section at each concert will be held until five minutes before the performance.
The Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series is supported by Northwestern, the Oklahoma Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Charles Morton Share Trust.
