Cheer and Dance Coordinator, Kaylyn Hansen announced over the weekend that Tyler VanVickle would be the new Northwestern Oklahoma State Head Cheerleading Coach.

VanVickle will be entering his first year of coaching following a two-year career here at Northwestern as a member of the Ranger cheer squad.

Prior to becoming a Ranger, VanVickle spent his first two college seasons at the University of Kansas where he was part of the Jayhawks cheer program where he competed at the D1 UCA Nationals in Orlando. Fla.

He was also very successful at the high school level before moving on to college. As a student at Lexington High School in Lexington, Ill., VanVickle competed in several different competitions including ICCA State where he took first place in the 2009 ICCA State Partner Stunt Championship.
