Northwestern Oklahoma State women’s golf team finished up its final round of the HSU Spring Invite after posting a final round 337, placing them in ninth overall in the field.
The final round of 337 gave the Rangers a total of 655 in the tourney.
After a record-breaking first round, firing a 318, the Rangers came down a little on day two, but with tougher conditions than the first round.
Brittani Casement showed out at Big Creek Country Club where she broke the single round scoring record with a 73 on the first day, and followed it up with another solid score of 83 to finish in a tie for 16th.
Kelsi Wilson and Olivia Brockwho were just one stroke apart at 165 and 166 respectively.
The final two Northwestern players to turn in their cards were Ashley Watts and Rylie Eller, rounding out their tournament with rounds of 87 and 86 respectively.
After a tie for the lead on the first day, Texas A&M Commerce emerged in the final round to take home the team title.
For the men’s golf team, it was a tough second day at Big Creek Country Club, but Northwestern Oklahoma State held strong, finishing in third overall in the seven-team field.
The Rangers finished the final round shooting a 312, putting them at 915 overall, keeping them ahead of Missouri S&T by three strokes.Once again, coming through for the Rangers, Ben Snelgrove had another quality outing, finishing in a tie for 8th and leading the men after a solid round of 74.
Tyler Berryhill finished with a 229 overall and in 14th place.
The next two men’s golfers to come in were Parker Rehorn and Cole Ward who finished two strokes apart at 230 and 232.
Rounding out the Ranger scoring in the HSU Invite was Keiton Hoster who shot a final round 81 to bring his total to 237, placing him in 32nd in the field.
Henderson State went wire-to-wire in their own tournament, winning by 14 strokes, firing a sizzling 888 for the tourney.
