Tuesday, women’s golf competed in the Spring Regional Preview hosted by the University of Central Missouri.

This will be the NWOSU Women’s Golf team’s final competition of the spring semester and the year.

The women’s team finished in thirteenth out of the twenty teams that competed. The teams score at the end of it was +49.

Romane Lacoste was the highest placing Lady Ranger once again. She finished in seventh out of one hundred and six golfers. She finished under par with a score of -1.

Heather Hunkle was further back as she finished in forty-ninth. She ended with a score of +13.

Agatha Lacoste was further behind from her sister as she ended off in sixty-fourth. Her final score was +16.

Kantyn Clark was the fourth highest Lady Ranger that competed. She ended up in the seventy-first position. She only had one stroke higher than Agatha Lacoste as she finished off with a score of +17.

Tess Linden was the fifth highest Lady Ranger with her finishing score of +19. That score placed her in the seventy-fourth position.

Sofia McElroy was the lowest placing Lady Ranger in the competition, as she finished off in seventy-seventh. Her final score was +20.

To end the year off, the Lady Rangers fought well. They competed in five competitions in the spring semester. Out of the five, they placed in the top three in two of them.

Those competitions were the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational and the Hillcat Classic.

In the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational, they were second out of sixteen. In the Hillcat Classic, they were third out of the seven teams. The Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational was by far their best showing out of the entire year.

The season as a whole was not entirely a poor showing from the women’s golf team, although there were low points. They seemed to go from really high points to really low points incredibly quick. Hopefully, next season can be more consistent or even better. None of the competiting women on the golf team are seniors, so they will continue in the fall.
