The Lady Ranger women’s golf team competed in the 2018 Fall Oklahoma Baptist Invitational on Monday at the Shawnee Country Club.
The Lady Rangers shot a team score of 346.
Senior Brittani Casement recorded a team-low round of 81. Her opening round landed her in a tie for 13th place.
With only four players in the field due to a withdrawal, the Lady Rangers posted two rounds in the low 80’s.
Rylie Eller ended her first round with a handful of pars and a round of 83. This score tied her for 20th place.
Cassidy Pettigrew finished her first round at 90.
Ashley Watts posted a round of 92 in her first round.
On Tuesday, the Lady Rangers closed out the OBU Invitational. They sat in seventh place after Monday’s rounds, ahead of
Arkansas-Monticello and one stroke behind Oklahoma Baptist.
Tuesday’s results saw the Lady Rangers move up from seventh to finish in sixth overall.
The Lady Rangers posted a final round of 349 to close out the tournament with a two-round score of 695. They finished 29 strokes ahead of Arkansas-Monticello.
Casement had back-to-back rounds of 81 and led her team in scoring. She ended in a top-15 finish at 11th place, which tied a
Harding competitor with a two-round cumulative of 161.
Eller had a two-round total of 167 and placed in tie for 19th place.
Pettigrew carded a round of 98 in the final.
Watts bumped up her score from the first round, finishing at 92 by three strokes. She finished in 31st place at 181.
The hosts, Oklahoma Baptist finished in first place and was twenty-five strokes over Harding University to claim team honors.
The women will next prepare for the NCAA Central Region Preview on Oct. 16-17 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
