A Northwestern English club is in the beginning stages of creating a literary magazine showcasing the works of authors in the northwest Oklahoma area.
The Writers Roundtable is in charge of this new endeavor. President Natalie Sacket and faculty advisor Dawn Allen, adjunct instructor of English are accepting submissions. They are looking for short stories, fiction, non-fiction, poetry and essays, along with various other genres.
They are accepting pieces from current Northwestern students, faculty and staff, along with any members of the surrounding areas.
Any submissions chosen for the magazine may be question to editing. According to Sacket, she and Allen will first discuss editing suggestions with the authors before any changes are made.
For more information on the publication, the club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Vinson Hall, room 200. Works can also be submitted via email at nwokliterature@gmail. com.
