It’s that time again, to take a break from school before diving head first into finals week!
Bahama Breakaway has been around for many years. It has fostered a relationship with the students and the community. Some say it is the last “hoo-rah” before those pesky finals and the year is over.
Bahama Breakaway will take place on Thursday, April 21 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the square in downtown Alva.
This event is sponsored by the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Student Government Association.
Every year, a t-shirt is created for the event. This year, the Bahama Breakaway shirt is a tank top. Shirts are on sale for ten dollars in the business office, located in Herod Hall.
The occasion will include many fun things and activities including free food, Boss Music DJ, 100 foot obstacle course, wrecking ball dunk tank, frosty Jo’s Sno-Cones and so much more.
There will also be an annual sand volleyball tournament. Each team will consist of at least 8 players. Teams must sign up by 4 p.m. on the day of the event. The Volleyball Championship price is 120 dollars with a runner up prize of 60 dollars. So take a load off, and attend the 2016 Bahama Breakaway!
