A Rangers 11 point game for the Women’s soccer team dominated Oklahoma Panhandle State University Friday.


Within 10 minutes of the game the Rangers forward, Whitney Blanchard, scored a point. Five minutes later No.18 Mikayla Barrientos tallied another point on the board for the Rangers. With the 2-point lead 15 minutes into the game, the Rangers continue to play hard.


Following Hollie Pankake’s goal in the first half, Alyssa Nunez racks on another point right before halftime.


Coming out of halftime with a 4-point lead the Rangers changed up the lineup. The whistle blows to start the half, and Kaley Whitworth manages to get in two goals before the end of the game along with Alyssa Nunez getting her second goal of the game.


With a inched miss by Tianna Young-Mauchly Yazmin Gomez recovers it and adds on the Rangers lead along with Mikalya Edris, Carlie Massingale, and Ashlie White.


The Rangers defense shut down OPSU to zero point allowing the team to win with a double digit deficit 11-0.


With this 11 goal game the lady Rangers tied the most goals in a game for the Nrothwestern Rangers in a Division II game.


This win evens their record at 2-2 on the season. The Rangers next game is Sept. 19 in San Antonio, Texas, to face St. Mary’s University for their second to last game out of conference play.
