Northwestern, along with the deadCENTER Film Festival Organization, will host the second night of the Salt Fork Film Festival after the first night of activities on Wednesday. The event is hosted in conjunction with the Graceful Arts Center and Rialto Twin Theatre and is free and open to the public.

The two-day event includes educational seminars about film making for students on both the Northwestern and Alva High School campuses.

“This is all about getting the high school students and college students to engage in film,” said Dr. Kay Decker, social sciences department chair. “We only made it easier by making it free.”

These movies are fairly new, because they are made by independent film makers. All of the movies that will be shown are Oklahoma-based.

“I worked reception last year, and I had a good time,” said Jo Decker sister of Decker. “We really hope to see a younger population involved.”

This free event will include drinks and koozies, also provided at no additional charge. Below is the schedule for the second night of the festival.
