To observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is during October, Northwestern Oklahoma State University is holding a sexual assault seminar.
This event will be on Oct.13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.
This event is a community-wide educational event that is open to the public.
The seminar will have a keynote speaker, District Attorney Christopher Boring. Boring is joining forces with Oklahoma District Attorney’s Association and Northwest Domestic Crisis Center for this presentation and video screening.
Trained advocates are available by calling the Alva office at 580-327-6648 and after hours by calling the 24-hour crisis hotline at 888-256-1215.
