deadlineA number of important dates for students are soon approaching.

First, students should be aware that January 26 is the last day for 100 percent refund on complete withdrawals and it is also the last day to drop your 16 weeks classes without grade required.  On January 27, the Business Office will start processing students’ financial aid. Afterwords, a late fee will be assessed to all unpaid tuition and fees balances after March 13.  “Students who don’t have financial aid to cover their balance need to make sure they are signed up for the payment program,”  said Mrs. Fawn Kingcade, Bursar of Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  The payment program is a monthly payment plan, and is available through Educational Data Systems.  This plan allows students to spread their payments and interest fee into monthly installments.  Students can go online at www.edsinet.com to apply, an application fee is required each semester upon enrollment in the program, and our school code is 3163.  March 13 is also the last day to drop second 8-week classes.  Spring semester’s final examinations will be held on May 5-8.

All important  information about deadlines and events is included in the catalog, student can find the spring catalog copies in Registrar Office at Herod Hall.  For the updated schedule information, students can check on Northwestern’s home page www.nwosu.edu.  Also current students can always view their class schedule, grade report, transcript and the amount of financial aid awarded through the RangerNet link on the school’s home page.  Dr. Steve Lohmann will also send out the emails about last day to drop classes just to remind students.  “Business Office will email students about their balance’s due and need to pay by a certain time to avoid penalties, but it’s students’ responsibility to check their own email.” said Kingcade.  After March 13 there will be a 5 percent of current balance on tuition apply as late fee and $25 per month on housing and meals’ balance.

Payment is due on the first day of classes each semester.  Student can pay off their balance by mailing and also online through RangerNet on www.nwosu.edu.  The Business Office in Alva opens from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Enid campus are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.  The Bursar’s Office also provides a variety of services to students who have questions about their balance.
