After watching the final trailer for the upcoming Kong: Skull Island film, I’d have to say, the full length film might actually be something that will draw me to the theaters.
Kong: Skull Island is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, and will feature an outstanding cast, one of which features the likes of 2016 Oscar winning actress, Brie Larson, 2017 Golden Globe winner actor, Tom Hiddleston and the man, myth and legend, Samuel L. Jackson.
Also staring in the film is the always hilarious John C. Reilly and Mr. James P. Sullivan or “Sully,” himself from ‘Monster’s Inc.,’ John Goodman.
Along with the awesome cast, Kong: Skull Island looks to have a great storyline as well.
The film is set back on 1971, and will feature a team of explorers accompanied by a group of soldiers searching for the island of lore and legend; Skull Island. Upon searching for the legendary island, the team discovers not only the island itself, but vast array of creatures that live on it as well, including Kong himself.
Another cool thing with this film, and one of the reasons I will be going to watch it when it hits theaters March 10, is that it is in the same monster movie universe as the 2014 film, Godzilla, which means a battle between the two monster giants [Kong and Godzilla] is inevitable.
So when this movie hits theaters, the actors and actress, the story as well as the push towards the Kong versus Godzilla battle will be what draws me to this film; Kong: Skull Island.
