Family day is this weekend and there are a lot of opportunities for parents to spend time with their college students.

With events kicking off Friday at 9.am. students and parents can go “Shopping for Tuition” which allows them to walk into local businesses and register for a drawing during halftime of Saturday’s game for a chance to win a $500, $300, or $200 tuition waiver.

That event will end at five in the afternoon and conclude all the events for Friday. Saturday is Game Day! From 10 a.m. to noon more “Shopping for Tuition” ensues at some of the same and different businesses.

A list of all participating businesses is located on the school website and is updated daily as new businesses have also decided to contribute. At noon on Sunday a special event is happening.

Students in Ranger Connection classes were polled to determine how many freshmen had Northwestern Alumni parents and those freshman and parents are invited to a luncheon Saturday at noon in the Student Center.

Afterwards Family Day Registration starts in the Student Center Commons area and runs on until 2:30 p.m. Following registration in the Student Center Commons is the Presidential Pre-Game.

At 4 p.m. there will be a tailgate party on the west side of the Ranger Fieldhouse and kickoff is at 6 p.m. Some students said they were feeling excited to see their parents and are excited for the game.
