Northwestern Oklahoma State will be holding the 2016 Spring Transfer Showcase Saturday at 10 a.m. in the second floor ballroom of the Student Center.

The Transfer Showcase is Northwestern’s way of saying hello to newcomers and helping incoming transfer students or potential incoming transfer students learn more about what the Alva campus has to offer. It also gives the incoming students the chance to interact with other students.

The showcase is also great for transfer students who attend, because it gives them the opportunity to meet with the administrators as well as get an inside look of the Northwestern campus while on one of the scheduled campus tours that the Northwestern Student Ambassadors will be providing.

They will also have the opportunity to meet with faculty, staff and many of the student organizations.

Attendees also receive a waived application fee, a free Northwestern T-shirt, a free catered lunch, a chance at a $500 scholarship and free admission to the Ranger baseball game at noon on Saturday.

To start the showcase off, registration will begin at 10 a.m. on the first floor of the student center in Wyatt Room.

At 11 a.m., Dr. Cunningham will welcome the guests in the Student Center ballroom.

Following the welcome, guests will get the chance to browse many of the campus clubs, organizations and department booths that will be set up in the ballroom.

At the same time, lunch will be provided in the snack bar in the student center and guests can stop by whenever they are ready to eat.

Following the leisure time, the students will also have the opportunity to tour the campus. The tours will take place in 15 minute increments.

The Transfer Showcase will wrap up at 1 p.m.

Anyone interested in attending the showcase must fill out an application online before Saturday. They can also check out the Northwestern website or call Liza Franz at (580) 327-8606 to learn more information about the Transfer Showcase.
