Much of the snow that blanketed Alva and closed Northwestern Oklahoma State University Wednesday was gone by mid afternoon the same day.
The storm dumped 2.7 inches of white fluff overnight Tuesday. Along with the rain that preceded it and the freezing temperatures, conditions were dangerous for driving Wednesday morning, so officials made the decision to close campus.
This won’t be the last storm either. Weather.com is forecasting more snow for Tuesday. In the meantime, expect a high of 32 on Thursday before it soars to 50 on Friday and 40 on Saturday.
