The University Singers and Concert Choir of Northwestern will bring an array of Broadway performances Sunday to the Herod Hall Auditorium stage.
This annual spring concert will begin at 2 p.m.
According to Irene Messoloras, director of choral and vocal activities, the singers have invested a lot of hard work into preparing for this concert.
“This is a very different concert than anything that we’ve done in the past,” Messoloras said. “Piggybacking off of our NYC tour, the Broadway Showcase will feature 12 different musicals in what I would call grandiose choral numbers.”
The University Singers and Concert Choir will perform songs from both traditional and contemporary musicals including “Grease,” “Rent,” “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Les Miserables.”
According to Messoloras, the “numbers have been fully staged and choreographed,” so it will be a lively and energetic afternoon of performance that will include a tap dance number.
Admission for the performance is free.
