The Lady Rangers took to the road to face No. 3 Southern Arkansas Friday and Saturday.
The nationally ranked Lady Muleriders proved to be a tough opponent as the Lady Rangers dropped the series 4-0.
In the double-header on Friday, the Lady Rangers dropped game one 3-0 and game two 14-2.
The Lady Ranger defense in game one held the Lady Muleriders to only three runs.
Senior pitcher Karly Murray did work in the circle, as she dished out six strikeouts.
Game two, the Lady Rangers struggled to get out of some tough innings.
Three straight big innings for Southern Ark was enough to shut down the Lady Rangers.
The Lady Rangers had trouble producing successful offense as they could only put up a handful of hits against the Lady Muleriders.
In Saturday’s double-header, the Lady Rangers dropped game three 10-2 and game four 8-0.
Once again, the Lady Rangers had trouble keeping up with the Lady Mulerider’s elite offense and defense.
Freshman Madison Friest collected two hits in game three, but that was the extent of offense.
The Lady Rangers look to bounce back in their upcoming home contest on March 8 and 9 against Arkansas-Monticello.
