A pep rally and Student vs. Faculty basketball game is scheduled for next Wed., Feb. 3  at 6:30 p.m. at the Percefull Fieldhouse.

The pep rally will introduce the upcoming spring sports including men and women’s basketball, baseball and softball. This includes entertainment and a statement from coaches and players involved.

Students will get a chance to partake in games including basketball musical chairs, bat spins and half court shots. As a bonus there will also be prize giveaways. The players of the games will be determined by a drawing with the student’s names that are collected at the beginning of the pep rally.

The student government association has prepared for this upcoming pep rally by focusing on getting more students involved in spring sporting events. They began preparing for this pep rally early. “We prepared by taking what all we’ve done from years past and just improving it” said Nick Villalobos, Vice President of the Student Government Association.

This year will include a student vs. faculty basketball game directly after the pep rally. Students are encouraged to stay after the pep rally to cheer on your fellow students and faculty or to participate and make your team proud. . “It’s fun to see faculty and students interacting” said Kaylyn Hansen, director of student life and counseling.  If you would like to be a part of this game, email Kaylyn Hansen at klhansen@nwosu.edu.

On Thurs. Feb. 4, join in on the “White-out” event. Wear white and support the Lady Rangers at 5:30 p.m.  and the Rangers at 7:30 p.m. The games are held at Percefull Fieldhouse. Doors open at 5 p.,m The first 650 fans to arrive at the game will receive a free t-shirt.
